DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — What Downtown needs is a good, old fashioned honkey-tonk. Or maybe a bar with a mechanical bull and line dancing. Some place where a feller can feel comfortable wearing the largest belt buckle he can find, a ten gallon hat, and alligator skin boots.
While we wait for Cedd Moses or Andrew Meieran to pick up on the idea, we'll have to settle listening in on "Achy Breaky Heart" being performed at a Little Tokyo karaoke, or the occasional visit by a country act to a Downtown venue.
