LAPD Seeking Woman Who Punctured Tires in Historic Core

The tire of this LAPD vehicle outside Central station was one of those punctured overnight on Thursday.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — LAPD is looking for a person who may have punctured or flattened tires on cars parked throughout the Historic Core early this morning.
According to the department, cars parked on Spring and Broadway between 6th and 8th were hit, as were several parked in front of LAPD's Central station just a few blocks east on 6th Street.
"We think it is this woman who was going around stabbing tires on cars," said Lt. Paul Vernon, commanding officer of the Central Detective Division. "We're aware of a few cars where tires were flattened and we expect more reports to come in as people wake up to go to work."
Initial information from video taken near 5th and Broadway says the culprit may have been a black woman wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt and that the spree occurred between midnight and 2am.
Anyone who discovers their tires were vandalized is asked to report the incident to desk officers at the Central Police Station by calling .
