The minutes from the Monday grievance hearing . This was the hearing for the Brown Act complaint filed by John Sellars on June 2nd, and reported here in the Executive Committee recap. The subject was also discussed fairly extensively last night at the Board Meeting. I was taking minutes for that meeting, so I'll hold off on commenting until I have those formalized and sent off to the appropriate places.

* Mr. Sellars states that more information will be given to the City Attorney's office. Also states that his primary concern in this matter is the health of the neighborhood council.

but apparently not concerned enough to actually bother attending the meetings of the council he was elected to in the first place.

The absolute EASIEST thing anybody can do once they get elected onto DLANC is to resign and immediately install their alternate in their place. If that's the only thing one does during their time, I can't think of an easier task than that. And there is no shame in resigning something based on unexpected circumstances or a change of heart.

I understand that John was out of town due to family illness and may have in fact notified Brady prior to leaving, but honestly... he should've resigned and placed his alternate in his place. That's not just the nice thing to do... it's the right thing to do. After months and months of absense, John is now entangling DLANC in another grievance hearing... an even bigger waste of everybody's time.

I seriously doubt that anybody that takes months off and the first thing he does upon his return is to file a grievance actually cares for DLANC very much.

My humble opinion. After all, I had a change of heart, resigned from DLANC, and made absolutely sure a proper candidate took my place: Jason Waters.

What is it with people that want the title, but none of the responsibility?
