'The Must' Makes Sure to Open for Art Walk

The Must, a new Historic Core bar offering a wide range of wine and beers, held a soft-opening yesterday evening in preparation for an Art Walk debut. The space, formerly Lime and before that the Red Dot Bistro, features the same basic bones but a new aesthetic highlighted by lots of wood.

At last night's soft opening, favorites were a Port float -- think Root Beer float -- and smoked trout fish sticks. The modestly-sized space is comfortable, with a small bar and tables throughout.

One of the issues with The Must's space has been its lack of visibility for passersby on Spring and Main. Finding a crowd during Art Walk won't be a problem. The block of 5th street between Main and Spring is packed with gallery-goers late into the evening. After that, though, Must is going to need some better signage to let folks in the Historic Core know it's around.

I went last night for a glass of wine during Artwalk and I like what they did to the place. They took down one of the dividing walls (which used to make the place feel claustrophobic)and dimmed the lights. The colors are richer earth colors. Lime cafe was too bright and small, they opened it up and made a great difference. The staff is very nice and polite, I will be going back.

As usual, it’s all about greed and hunger for more money. For those who hate Julie Rico and think she is evil, hey DTLA you have not seen anything yet!!! Wait until you meet the new owner, the infamous David A McGrath the ran-sacker of The Must and the former Pink Hot Dog cook at the Racetrack Casino. He in tandem with our "friend" Julie Rico crated the perfect storm for Coly, the owner of The Must, out of pure greed and of course out of pure evil. He (David A McGrath) being the purchaser and Julie beng the seller, they two conspired to destroy the beloved wine bar that many residents of DT loved at one point.

THE SOLUTION: In the interest of justice boycott the “Stray Cat Café”. David McGrath opened that place of The Must's expense and the expense of 18 employees. This bunch was making a lot of money for The Must’s owner Coly before David A. McGrath lurked and menacingly came from the dark, entered upon closing at 2:45AM and cleaned the place out.

HELLO LA! Meet the new owner DAVID A McGRATH, the character you will now have to deal with instead of dealing with Julie Rico. This gentleman wanted that success of The Must to become his own success. That’s why he did what he ransacked The Must in conspiracy with Julie Ricco with money of questionable background that is yet to be determined where it came from, as the fast bite cook at Racetrack Casino could not save $250,00. This is what he allegedly paid to Julie Rico for Weeneeezzz! Drama, drama and evil characters hunting good forces fuel this story!
